Skopje International Airport (SKP) serves the capital city of North Macedonia, Skopje, and is the largest airport in the country. Operated by TAV Airport Holdings, Skopje Airport hosts over ten European carriers and serving multiple destinations across the continent.

Shuttle Bus

There is regular shuttle bus to/from Skopje International Airport for passengers that drives and stops at key bus stops throughout the City of Skopje and arrives at the airport.

V2V Transporter manages and operates the shuttle buses for passengers.

The shuttle bus timetable is prepared according to the arrivals/departures of flights at Skopje International Airport.

One way ticket for the shuttle bus costs 199 MKD.

Taxi

The taxi services at Skopje International Airport are regulated by the price list which is exhibited at the exit of the airport and in each taxi vehicle separately.

The vehicles of the Airport taxi company are all in white color and marked with a taxi sign numbered from 1 to 65.

Airport taxi is the only company which has been authorized by TAV Macedonia to transport passengers from Skopje International Airport.

The vehicles are parked at the exit of the airport building 24 hours a day, so there is no need for reservations.

Transportation within the city

Public Transport - Bus

Skopje’s bus transport operates with 38 lines in the urban area and additional 44 lines in the wider Skopje area.

The bus lines operate every day between 5:00 and 0:00, and there are 11 lines that have night lines and operate 24 hours.

There are several options, like a single fare ticket, 10 fares ticket, 90-minute ticket, daily ticket, 7-day ticket and others, as well as a special ticket for the Millennium Cross Cable Car.

Paper tickets are not available, and pre-paid bus cards can be purchased from multiple places across the city.

However, payment with cell phone is available on the spot in the buses and a single fare costs 40 MKD. (50 MKD for a night ticket)

Taxi

Skopje offers quick and safe taxi transportation. The taxi companies are usually easy to reach, work 24/7 and the drivers arrive within minutes of calling.

There are three ways of finding a taxi in Skopje; you can hail one on the street, walk to the nearest taxi rank or phone a local company.

The center is usually crowded with taxi vehicles cruising around.

The tariff for a taxi fare is:

  • 60 MKD for start,
  • 35 MKD for each passed kilometer and
  • 420 MKD for each hour of staying idle.

Own Vehicle

There is an underground parking at the venue – Hotel Holiday Inn Skopje, as well as nearby underground parking garage from the City Shopping Center, and a multi-storey garage across the street.
