MATCA is a voluntary professional association of highly trained air traffic controllers and air traffic control assistants, which are responsible for the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of the air traffic.<\/p><p>The association is registered in the Central Registry of the Republic of Macedonia on 23 May 2007 and it\u2019s a member of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers&#8217; Associations \u2013 IFATCA. MATCA members regularly participate in the European regional meetings, as well as global annual conferences. IFATCA is an international collective of air traffic controller associations. It represents over 50.000 air traffic controllers from 130 countries, which makes it the largest and most comprehensive representative body for air traffic control in the world.<\/p><p>MATCA\u2019s objectives are as follows:<\/p><ul><li>Creating more favorable conditions for the successful execution of ATCOs\u2019 tasks and their constant improvement and advancement;<\/li><li>Creating and maintaining a high standard, knowledge, and professionalism in the work;<\/li><li>Protection of the interests of the Air Traffic Control profession;<\/li><li>Improvement of the safety, efficiency and regularity of the air navigation;<\/li><li>Advancing the development of a safe and well-organized air traffic control system;<\/li><li>Participating in the work of IFATCA;<\/li><li>Cooperation with other related professional organizations and authorities in the air navigation system.<\/li><\/ul><p>In implementing its goals, MATCA acts through the following bodies:<\/p><ul><li>Assembly<\/li><li>Committees (A, B and C)<\/li><li>Council<\/li><li>Supervisory Board<\/li><li>President<\/li><\/ul><p>Membership in MATCA is voluntary and it can be regular or honorary.
