After more than two years since the MATCA members filled out the survey and initiated changes to improve the conditions in the working rooms for ATCOs, the renovation started to become a reality.
The letter and the survey conducted by MATCA were archived on 19th April 2022, but unfortunately, they did not receive positive feedback from the then management, who did not see the importance of improving the substandard conditions in which we work.
One year later, in the month of May 2023, MATCA submitted the same letter and survey for renovation to SSKL, the ATC Union with which our association works closely, after which SSKL inserted the renovation in the demands during the strike negotiations with the management of M -NAV.
A year later, two years after the initial membership survey, the results began to show. As of now, at the ATC facility in Skopje, the toilets under the tower and towards the hall have been renovated, almost all the rooms have been cleaned, the linoleum floor has been changed, new furniture has been ordered for the resting rooms…
Thanks to all ATCOs and ATCAs who are actively involved in the renovation, and especially to the members of MATCA, who initiated these changes, which we hope will not stop, because the list from the initial survey still has many more points to be completed. In addition, a big thank you to Jelena Velichkoviкј – Gerasimovska, Florina Radovanoviкј and Katarina Markovska who selflessly invested their private time in the project called “Renovation of working premises in M-NAV for ATCOs”.
And let’s hope that in the future there will be no need for the ATCOs themselves to initiate the reforms that should naturally follow them and that the management of M-NAV will listen and continue to improve the working conditions.
