According to the agenda, at the smaller hall at the Holiday Inn, the IFATCA SESAR Board met, while our Association was completing the final preparations in the large hall.
At 1:00 PM, the 35th IFATCA European Regional Meeting Skopje 2024 officially began, attended by 136 delegates from 34 IFATCA member countries.
The conference was opened by the Executive Vice President of IFATCA for Europe, Mr. Frederic Deleau, who faithfully assisted us as the host association throughout the entire process.
Then, through online participation, Denis Huet (EUROCONTROL) made a presentation on the topic: Why do we have a Performance Plan? How is it built? What should we expect? What we need to understand and to know?
The Vice President of IFATCA, who came to Skopje directly from Canada, Mr. Jean-François Lepage (IFATCA DP), made a presentation on the topic – ICAO and report on ANC/IFATCA involvement.
The presentation that followed was very interesting, made by our colleagues from Turkey: Tuğberk Teber and Gokay Guven (TATCA) on the topic: Simulations and Airspace developments in Turkey – Brétigny, Innovation Hub, the extreme simulation, where they tried out what the three-runway system that was built for the first time and is already successfully operating at the new airport in Istanbul would be like.
