The third conference day was opened by the Minister of Transport, Mr. Aleksandar Nikoloski, and following him, his deputy, Ms. Kaltrina Zekoli Shaqiri, addressed the audience.
After them, Mr. Stefan Hudolin from (EU Head of Cooperation to North Macedonia) and our Director of ANS at M-NAV A.D. Skopje, Mr. Hekuran Asani, addressed the audience.
The lunch was sponsored by TAV, one coffee break by the CAA and the other by Turkish Airlines.
It was a great honor for us as a professional association to receive the support of all these aviation institutions.
After the official opening of the third conference day, reports were given by representatives of other professional aviation federations such as: ATCEUC, ETF, IFATSEA, IFISA and IFAIMA.
The highlight of the entire conference was the panel discussion on the topic, “Challenges due to Weather and the Operational Perspective” This discussion was led by Ms. Marily Bastin (Director European Green Sky and Head of Aviation Sustainability, Eurocontrol), Mr. Steven Moore, (Head of Operations, Eurocontrol Network Manager) and Mr. Mihály Szűcs, (Aviation Support Programme Coordinator, EUMETNET) This discussion reviewed the problems we faced in the past 2024 season as well as the plans related to traffic volume in the region, as well as the upcoming ambitions for improving cooperation and self-sustainability of air traffic in Europe.
The evening was marked by the gala dinner again at the Holiday Inn, which was held for all genuine participants of the conference. At this solemn evening, our association MATCA officially handed over the host status to the Italian association ANANCA, who announced that next year the IFATCA ERM will be held in Bologna.
Congratulations on the successful IFATCA ERM Skopje 2024 conference and many more successes to come in every next feat of MATCA.
